SASKATCHEWAN, Canada — Over the weekend, 15 Canadian junior hockey players died after a crash between a tractor-trailer and the team’s bus, The Washington Post reports.
The bus was carrying members of the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey league team, on their way to the town of Nipawin for a playoff game. Police said it was too early to discuss the cause of the crash, and that an investigation was underway. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and was not in custody, according to the report.
