ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Press of Atlantic City reported that the downturn in Atlantic City, N.J.’s casino industry has cut into funding for paratransit services for senior citizens and disabled residents statewide.

Transit advocates say the crisis with the Casino Revenue Fund has become so acute that state lawmakers must intervene — otherwise, paratransit riders may be left stranded.
