The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) recently recognized the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s (RTA) Euclid Corridor Transportation Project with a National Recognition Award.
The award for The Euclid Corridor Transportation Project, now operating as the HealthLine, won the honor from ACEC at the Engineering Excellence Awards in Washington, D.C.
These awards are considered the “Academy Awards of the engineering industry” for projects displaying excellence in engineering. RTA’s bus rapid transit (BRT) project started design in 2002, construction in 2005 and opened for service to customers in October of 2008.
“We continue to receive visitors from around the world who are fascinated by the engineering and design of the HealthLine and we’re proud that our vision has become a successful reality,” said RTA CEO/President Joe Calabrese.
