Complete Coach Works (CCW) was awarded first place in the prestigious APTAʼs AdWheel Award competition in the Business Member Category for their creative advertisement titled “Happy Buses.” This achievement marks the first time CCW has been honored with such an award for itʼs marketing efforts.

The concept of the advertisement was inspired by an intervention TV series about individuals struggling with serious addictions, and were confronted by loving family members and friends to get help through a rehabilitation program, according to a company statement. The same life-changing transformation occurs when CCW partners with its customers to rehab their fuel-addicted buses. The vehicles come out of the program with a new refreshed look, are upgraded with cleaner propulsion systems, and are placed back into service for many years of successful operation.

No outside advertising agency was hired to create and execute this award-winning work. Everything from concept to finish was collaborated and developed in-house by the staff at CCW.

“Receiving a coveted AdWheel Award is a prestigious accomplishment and should be celebrated as a mark of originality, creativity, and excellence in public transportation marketing and communications,” said APTA President William Millar.

According to APTA, “Nearly 650 entries were submitted this year in the four categories of print, electronic, campaign, and special event. First place honors were awarded in various subcategories to each of four groups, based on system size.”
