Continental changes name to Trapeze ITS
Expanded product portfolio will allow optimal operations control and efficient vehicle utilization, as well as improving passenger information and ticketing, according to the company.
Trapeze ITS announced it continues to provide its public transit solutions under a new name. The company previously known as Continental Public Transit (PT) has been acquired by Constellation Software's wholly-owned affiliate Trapeze Software Inc.
Within the Constellation Group, the Public Transit Solutions segment is a separate company, which will operate under the name Trapeze ITS U.S.A. LLC. Trapeze ITS is part of the Trapeze Group and has locations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Switzerland, the U.K., Poland and Germany.
The expanded product portfolio will allow optimal operations control and efficient vehicle utilization, as well as improving passenger information and ticketing, according to the company.
"This alliance allows greater synergies between the Trapeze Group and Trapeze ITS to provide customers with a broader product offering," says David Brandauer, GM, Trapeze ITS U.S.A. LLC. "We are now positioned in a group that is focused on our core market of public transportation, rather than one struggling with the global automotive crisis."
