LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Times reported that the Los Angeles City Council approved up to $352 million to maintain a streetcar that would run primarily along three of downtown's main arteries and connect many neighborhoods. The funding, which will come from voter-approved Measure R, is expected to cover repair and operational costs for the streetcar for three decades.
