D.C. Metro taps LTK for rail fleet

If all options are exercised by D.C. Metro, the contract term will be 10 years.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) selected LTK Engineering Services (LTK) to provide comprehensive technical services for the Metrorail car fleet, including procurement support for the 7000-Series railcars.

Services to be provided by LTK may include specification development, design and design review, manufacturing inspection, engineering analysis and expert assessment of technical issues, and support in all aspects of railcar procurement, rehabilitation, repair and maintenance.

If all options are exercised by D.C. Metro, the contract term will be 10 years.
