Motor Coach Industries (MCI) delivered three new J4500 motorcoaches to DATTCO, a premier transportation provider based in New Britain, Connecticut.
MCI has customized the 2026 model year coaches to DATTCO’s specifications, featuring enhanced seating, advanced safety technology, and a branded exterior styling.
“DATTCO is known for doing things the right way—with care, detail, and a constant focus on the customer,” said Tom Wagner, VP, Private Sector Sales and Service, MCI. “We’re proud to deliver these J4500s to such a respected operator and look forward to supporting their team in every way we can.”
DATTCO Expanding its Core Offerings
For over a century, DATTCO has been one of the Northeast’s most trusted transportation providers. Recognized for its operational excellence and industry leadership, the company continually updates its fleet to meet the evolving needs of modern passengers.
DATTCO’s extensive fleet already includes MCI coaches, but this delivery marks their first new J4500 order since 2019. The vehicles will be put into service across the Northeast U.S.
“DATTCO has worked hard to create a leading customer experience focused on safety, comfort, and reliability. It was important to us that the experience remain consistent with the introduction of a new model to our core charter fleet, and the team at MCI listened and worked to meet that goal,” said Dennis Lyons, VP, Coach & Tour Group, DATTCO. “The support from initial reach-out through this week’s delivery has been great. We look forward to continuing to work with MCI as these coaches enter service with our valued customers.”
Now in its 101st year, DATTCO remains a multigenerational, family-owned company deeply embedded in the communities it serves. Its leadership team plays an active role in industry associations and events, helping to shape the future of motorcoach transportation through collaboration and the sharing of best practices, said MCI.
