MARYSVILLE, Calif. — Quintin Joey Watts, 55, the driver of the bus in which 11 people died in an October 2008 crash in Colusa County, has taken his case to the California Supreme Court, appealdemocrat.com reported.
Watts was convicted on 11 counts of gross vehicular manslaughter and 21 enhancements for injuries of other passengers on the bus, which was headed to the Colusa Casino Resort.
After the 3rd District Court of Appeal denied his initial appeal of his conviction and sentence, Watts, through his attorney, has asked the state's highest court to review the case. No date has been set on when or if the court will hear the matter. For the full story, click here.
