The Equans and Lumiplan consortium has been selected by Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) to equip its future T Zen 4 electric bus network with an NAVINEO CAD/AVL, real-time passenger information system, and a voice radio infrastructure.

The new all-electric bus rapid transit (BRT) line will link Viry-Châtillon to Corbeil-Essonnes. The nine-mile line will provide users a more sustainable transportation service, according to Equans' news release.

The 402 line carries more than 26,000 users per day. IDFM said it is replacing its more heavily traveled corridor with the T Zen 4 BRT line in hopes of improving its service offering and increasing capacity and intermodality of its urban transportation network.

The 30 vehicles on the new BRT line, to be opened in 2024, will each be able to carry up to 140 passengers, surpassing the 100-passenger limit on the current buses in service. The first 100% electric 78-foot buses in the Île-de-France region will also be more accessible for passengers with disabilities.

The NAVINEO CAD/AVL system, from Equans, will provide operation within the specific constraints of electric mobility as well as accurate real-time passenger information to improve the customer experience, according to the news release. Schedules, transfers, and service alerts will be displayed on the onboard infotainment screens and in stations.

Lumiplan will supply the displays for the T ZEN 4 bus network in both the vehicles and the stations.
