Canada’s Edmonton Transit System (ETS) will soon complete installation of operator barrier shields on their fleet of over 900 buses.
The safety protection doors, manufactured by Vapor Bus International — A Wabtec Company, provides a critical defensive safety barrier for bus operators and can protect against physical assaults and unwanted passenger interactions. The heavy-duty door features a large, laminated safety glass that functions as a sneeze guard, and an electric window that can be closed quickly and easily.
