Monday, MV Transportation Inc. appointed John B. Catoe Jr. as a strategic advisor to the company's executive leadership team.
Catoe, who is principal of The Catoe Group, a transit consultancy in Santa Monica, Calif., will provide strategic consulting services to MV and assist the company in developing long-term business plans and growth initiatives.
He has 30 years of transit industry experience, most recently serving as the GM for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro), overseeing nearly 10,000 employees and a $1.2 billion annual operating budget. Prior to Metro, Catoe was the deputy chief executive officer of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Catoe joins MV Transportation's existing Strategic Advisor and longtime transit professional, Shirley DeLibero in his new post. DeLibero is well-known in the industry for her many achievements, including work for Metro, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, New Jersey Transit and Houston Metro.
The station was rebuilt as part of SEPTA’s Station Accessibility Program, making it fully ADA accessible with new elevators, ramps, and high-level platforms.
