ECAT's paratransit services are designed, in accordance with ADA guidelines, specifically for individuals whose disabilities make it difficult for them to use ECAT fixed-route services. ADA-accessible vehicles are available for all ADA-eligible riders traveling within the ECAT service area. These are curb-to-curb services; and, based upon need and request, can also be door-to-door.
Gloria Neal, who will serve as First Transit GM for the ECAT paratransit services, brings strength in management of all aspects of public transportation systems, according to the company. With nine years in the transit industry, Neal has considerable experience and expertise within a variety of transportation settings, including operations, planning, route development, budgeting, union negotiations, safety and training.
