First Transit was awarded the DASH Downtown and Mid-City fixed-route service for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT). First Transit will provide drivers for the management, operations and maintenance for a portion of the 32-route operation with 115 buses.

In keeping with First Transit and LADOT’s leading position in leveraging technology to enhance passenger, driver, and road safety, the group are transitioning the DASH fleet to the Mobile Eye® Shield Plus collision-avoidance system.
