FRA issues final impact statement on Vegas HSR
Clears the way for final permitting and construction groundbreaking, possibly as early as December, the on "DesertXpress" project.
NEW YORK — Last week the Federal Railroad Administration released the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the "DesertXpress" high-speed rail project that will connect Las Vegas to Victorville, Calif., a 185-mile route that parallels Interstate-15, America 2050 reported. The high-speed rail line is expected to eventually connect with the California high-speed rail network that is currently under construction.
