Grande West, a Canadian manufacturer of multi-purposed, mid-sized transit buses for sale in Canada and the U.S., announced it has received new Vicinity orders for approximately $8.9 million.
These new orders are from existing customers BC Transit and Bow Valley Regional Transit, and new customer Town of Midland for deliveries in 2018.
Grande West's total firm orders for Q4 2017 through 2018 delivery are for over 300 buses valued at over $94 million.
The region’s fixed-route system finished out the year with a total of 373.5 million rides. Adding 12.3 million rides over 2024 represents an increase that is equal to the annual transit ridership of Kansas City.
