Greyhound passenger grabs wheel, causes crash
Unruly rider pulls bus off the road and into a ditch, injuring one.
Kansas Highway Patrol officers reported that a Greyhound bus carrying 27 people veered off Interstate 70 Monday after an unruly passenger grabbed the steering wheel.
Greyhound officials said one person received minor injuries after the bus, on its way to Denver from Chicago, drove into a ditch and traveled about 200 yards before stopping.
According to the Kansas City Star, the driver and 26 passengers were stranded for seven hours while authorities investigated the scene and Greyhound sent another bus to continue the trip.
The Trego County (Kan.) prosecutor's office said charges will likely be filed against a 33-year-old Florida man who allegedly caused the crash.
