Greyhound stops service after crash
Service is temporarily suspended nationwide after fatal attack onboard bus.
Greyhound service was suspended nationwide following a bus crash this morning that left at least six people dead. Service is scheduled to resume at 12 p.m. CST. The 40-passenger bus crashed after a passenger slit the driver's throat, according to a woman onboard the bus. That report was not confirmed but a hospital official told the Associated Press (AP) that the driver was treated for a laceration of the neck and was stable after surgery. An investigation team including a number of U.S. Department of Transportation agencies and the FBI was dispatched to the scene. Officials do not believe the incident to be terrorist-related. The alleged perpetrator has a Croation passport and it's not yet known if he survived. The bus, No. 1115, left Louisville, Ky., for Atlanta before crashing at 4:15 a.m. CST. It's final destination was Orlando, Fla. For the latest news, go to www.greyhound.com.
