LAS VEGAS — XpressWest, the federally authorized high-speed passenger railroad linking Las Vegas to Southern California, is slated to break ground in mid-2017, Canyon News reported.
The $8 billion-dollar project was initially scheduled to begin construction in 2016, but the company pushed it back to early this year, the report said. The rail service is expected to transport three million riders and bring in an estimated $300 million in annually.
