
NEW YORK CITY — While housing costs are typically key in determining the affordability of a city, transportation costs are also an important part of the equation, according to new data, reported CITYLAB.
Five metros — Washington, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, and Boston — share an obvious trait: good public transportation systems, which makes it possible to reduce car ownership and related expenses.
