CHICAGO — University of Illinois at Chicago officials are attempting to make the new intercampus bus system, launched in August, more efficient, dependable and environmentally friendly by cutting the number of stops from 46 to 16 and employing a bus tracking system, the Chicago Flame reports. Ridership on the commuter shuttle has declined from a daily average of approximately 350 rides in 2008 to a daily average of approximately 100 in 2010. For the full story, click here.
