The Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) at the University of Denver, in a joint venture with the National Center for Intermodal Transportation (NCIT), will sponsor a two-and-a-half day training program, – “Intermodal Freight Transportation and the Public Planning Process” – which will be held at the University October 13 to 15.
The training program will focus on several key topics including: how public investment in the nation’s transportation system will benefit the movement of freight; what types of strategies are most effective for successful interfaces between public- and private-sector interests; and how to get freight stakeholders interested in the transportation planning process in order to maximize a cooperative passenger and freight transportation network.
