Carroll, Iowa-based Windstar Lines Inc. signed an agreement on Tuesday to acquire the Lincoln, Neb. branch of Kincaid Coach Lines.

This acquisition will be Windstar Lines Inc.’s first terminal outside the state of Iowa. All motorcoach operation employees of Kincaid Coach Lines, based in Lincoln, will be offered employment by Windstar Lines Inc., including Joe Posont, who will continue to serve as operations manager for Lincoln. Windstar Lines will be located in the same facility in Lincoln that was occupied by Kincaid Coach Lines.  In addition to equipment purchased, Windstar Lines plans to add motorcoaches to this location. 

Based in Edwardsville, Kan., Kincaid Coach Lines is a family-owned charter bus business providing transportation service since 1977. Kincaid Coach Lines operates over 60 vehicles throughout their strategically located terminals. Other terminals include Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla., Wichita, Kan., Panama City Beach, Fla., and Amarillo, Texas.

According to the company, Windstar Lines Inc. is the largest motorcoach company in Iowa, operating more than 40 motorcoaches in four Iowa markets (Carroll, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and Dubuque).
