The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), along with other transit, transportation and planning agencies, will co-host the first 2009 workshop in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for Transit Series conducted by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships (NCPPP) March 25 to 26 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. 

The event will cover the language of PPPs; the federal stimulus package and implications for transit projects; statutory and regulatory requirements; factors in financing transit PPPs and an overview of case studies throughout the country.

Participants will review best practices and explore options for expanding transit infrastructure and services through public-private partnerships.
