BOSTON — Massachusetts House lawmakers approved a bailout bill for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) that would postpone bigger cuts in service, the AP reported.
The bill, if approved by the state Senate, would transfer to the agency $49 million from a state fund made up of automobile inspection fees and part of the state's snow removal budget that wasn’t needed during the winter. For the full story, click here.
