On Aug. 29, Motor Coach Industries (MCI) will sponsor three open houses at its Sales and Service Centers in Blackwood, N.J.; Los Alamitos, Calif.; and Des Plaines, Ill. to display the company’s pre-owned motorcoach inventory in advance of an online auction of 35 pre-owned coaches that will run Aug. 30 to Aug. 31.
The online auction will be conducted through www.TheBranfordGroup.com. The bidding starts on Aug. 30 at 6:00 a.m. and closes on Aug. 31 at 11:00 a.m. (EST). Interested buyers can inspect the coaches for sale at the open houses on Aug. 29.
For other pre-owned vehicles available for sale, customers can go directly to MCI’s pre-owned coach at www.mcicoach.com/preowned.
For 2011, bonus depreciation has been boosted to 100 percent on new coaches placed into service by the end of this year, and expanded Section 179 deductions apply to pre-owned coaches as well, according to Mike Denny, MCI vice president of financial services. “We are encouraging our customers to speak to their tax professionals about buying equipment this year to take advantage of the tax benefits and low rates.”
