MINNEAPOLIS — Student supporters of a proposed Northern Lights Express (NLX) high-speed rail project held a rolling press conference in Duluth, Hinckley, St. Paul and Coon Rapids. The students hailed from the Minnesota Public Interest Research Group at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, University of Minnesota Duluth and Macalester College in St. Paul, reported ABCNewspapers.com.

At all of the stops except Coon Rapids, students were joined by local elected officials testifying why they support the NLX. The plan is to start preliminary engineering on the project early in 2013. To read the full story, click here.
