WEST MILFORD, N.J. — The EZ Ride Community Cars program, operated by nonprofit Meadowlink, will provide a discounted door-to-door taxi service for senior citizens and disabled residents in the West Milford township, NorthJersey.com reported. Community Cars already operates in 11 communities in Bergen County, but this is the first such program in Passaic County.
The township’s Department of Community Services and Recreation designed the program to provide more consistent public transportation. Currently, the local government owns and operates a bus on just one, 29-mile bus route five days a week. For the full story, click here.
