New Flyer Industries Inc. announced that Janice Harper has been promoted to vice president, human resources and Margaret Lewis has joined the company as its new vice president, quality and continuous improvement. 

In her newly created role, Harper will provide leadership for New Flyer's people functions including the development and implementation of human resource strategy and programs to support employee safety, engagement and organizational success. She has been with New Flyer since 1998 and has been instrumental in developing and implementing its people policies and plans. 

Lewis, who joins New Flyer with more than twenty years of management experience within the automotive industry, will be responsible for all quality initiatives and programs. She will focus her initial efforts on the improvement of product quality in support of New Flyer's operational excellence initiatives.
