New Flyer Industries Inc., a manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in Canada and the U.S., will be opening a new parts distribution center in Fresno, Calif. on July 1, 2009.

This is the third parts distribution center for New Flyer Parts; the other two are in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Erlanger, Ky.

The Fresno center will carry the majority of the inventory used by customers on the U.S. West Coast.

With the opening of this third parts distribution center, New Flyer now offers two-day ground service to the majority of customers in both the U.S. and Canada.

New Flyer Parts is a critical part of the New Flyer’s Customer Services Group, which employs more than 150 dedicated team members. It provides genuine original equipment and specialty brands of service parts to all makes and models of transit buses, as well as special inventory planning services to its customer base.
