The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced it will hold a public board meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 8 to discuss the January 2008 motorcoach crash outside of Victoria, Texas.
On Jan. 2, 2008, Capricorn Bus Lines Inc., under International Charter Services Inc.'s operating authority, overturned on U.S. Highway 59 near Victoria, Texas. Within five minutes, and before emergency responders arrived on scene, a northbound pickup truck struck the underside of the motorcoach. One passenger on the bus was fatally injured, 17 passengers sustained serious injuries, and both drivers and 29 passengers sustained minor injuries.
