COLUMBUS, Ohio — After a fatal accident in Crawford County on Tuesday near Bucyrus, Ohio, involving a bus transporting the University of Mount Union's wrestling team, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) plans to reintroduce a long-stalled motorcoach safety bill, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
The senator originally introduced the legislation, which would mandate that motorcoaches have seat belts and more crash-resistant windows and roofs, after a 2007 bus crash in Georgia resulted in the deaths of seven people, including members of the Bluffton University baseball team.
