
Pa.’s Penn State Transportation Services announced the hiring of Cecily Zhu as its first alternative transportation coordinator. Zhu comes to Penn State from Pittsburgh, where she most recently worked as a transportation policy and planning fellow for the Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group.
A graduate of State University of New York's College of Environmental Science and Forestry with a degree in environmental studies, Zhu developed and promoted alternative transportation programs and initiatives for Highmark, including the creation of new bicycle parking facilities at offices in Pittsburgh and Charleston, W.V. She has also worked for the city of Syracuse’s Bureau of Planning and Sustainability and the Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming.
