President Joe Biden joined Proterra CEO Jack Allen, Greenville Mayor Knox White, and the Proterra team last week for a virtual tour of Proterra’s EV manufacturing facility in Greenville, S.C.
The President affirmed his continued support for electrified transportation on the heels of announcing the American Jobs Plan, including historic investment in public transit and the goal for all U.S.-made buses to be zero-emissions by 2030.

Earth Week continued with the Leaders’ Summit on Climate, where the president set the goal to cut the country’s emissions in half by 2030. Proterra CEO Jack Allen spoke on day two of the climate summit, reinforcing the importance of domestic EV manufacturing.
Rolling out in electric yellow and seafoam blue, the first battery-electric buses purchased from GILLIG will begin serving riders in south King County on February 2.
