[IMAGE]MET2Operator-Money-2.jpg[/IMAGE]On Jan. 20, at the United Motorcoach Association's (UMA) 2011 Motorcoach Expo in Tampa, Fla., METRO Magazine presented its annual Motorcoach Operator of the Year award to Todd Holland, president and owner of Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Ramblin Express.  

The award is given to an individual who has made significant contributions to his or her own organization as well as the industry. This is the twenty-first time that the magazine has handed out this award.

Holland was recognized for his work on the UMA board of directors, as chairman, and on the International Motorcoach Group board of directors. Additionally, Holland was selected for co-founding the Motorcoach Council and his integral role in recruiting many of its founding partners, as well as for his input on financing education sessions given at annual UMA conventions.

Holland began his business as a small casino shuttle service in 1993. The scheduled run grew into a prestigious and diversified operation, serving one of the oldest and largest luxury five-star resorts in the U.S.

Holland is described by industry leaders as an innovator who is known for his forward thinking. His staff has joked with him that his middle name is "change" as he is always finding ways to make his operation and the industry better.
