Germantown, Wis.-based charter bus company Riteway Bus Service created a video on disaster preparedness to share with passengers and the community. 

The public awareness video is made up of a series of five vignettes. Each of the five vignettes cover a topic related to public protection. For example, one explains the warning levels used in National Threat Advisories issued by the Department of Homeland Security.

Another educates the public to be vigilant about suspicious items that seem out of place in public settings. A bit of humor is used throughout the segments to bring levity to the serious content while aiding retention of the behaviors recommended in each vignette.

Riteway President Ron Bast unveiled the videos in October at a special showing to key customers and business associates. The company plans to show the video series to its coach passengers and is offering the videos free of charge to local civic and community groups.

Additionally, Bastwill show the series at association meetings around the country throughout the year. Riteway said others in the industry are welcome to use the video series as well.
