An Amtrak train traveling through South Carolina struck a log truck at a crossing Tuesday morning, derailing 10 cars and injuring 15 people. The train, carrying 120 passengers and 13 crew members, was traveling south from New York to Miami when it derailed at 9:07 a.m., said Amtrak spokesperson Bill Schulz. The driver of the log truck told police he didn't see the train coming when he tried to cross the tracks, reported The Associated Press. It was the second serious accident involving Amtrak in less than a month. An Amtrak derailment on April 18 in Crescent City, Fla., in which four passengers died remains under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
