Safe Fleet announced it acquired Seon.

Safe Fleet designs and manufactures safety- and productivity-oriented components for the emergency vehicle, truck and trailer, utility vehicle, school bus and transit bus end markets. Seon is the second acquisition in the last nine months and further broadens Safe Fleet’s extensive product offering, in line with its on-going growth strategy.

Seon’s headquarters and main operations will continue in Coquitlam, B.C., Canada, and Terry Akiyama will continue in his role as president.

“Customers and suppliers will continue to interact with their existing Seon contacts,” Akiyama said. “We’re very excited about joining the Safe Fleet family and working together to provide comprehensive solutions for fleets’ safety and security needs worldwide.”

Seon will be joining complementary school and transit bus brands under the Safe Fleet umbrella, including Specialty Manufacturing, Pretoria and Transpec.    

Safe Fleet will continue to pursue new opportunities to expand the products and solutions it offers its fleet vehicle customers, according to the company.
