RTC of Southern Nevada, Masabi Team for Ridership Rewards Program

The Las Vegas-based Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has introduced a new rewards program encouraging riders to use Visa cards for transit fares. Powered by Masabi’s Open Payments system and integrated with the Velocia rewards platform, the initiative lets participating riders earn points for every Visa tap, redeemable for free rides.

Riders can also receive bonus points for maintaining weekly tap streaks, with increased rewards for consistent use over four consecutive weeks.

The program builds on RTC’s Open Payments system, launched in December 2023, which supports contactless payments via bank cards, mobile wallets, and smart devices. A newly added Account Linking feature enables fare discounts, rewards, and trip history tracking by tying each payment method to a unified transit account.

Genetec Adds New Capabilities to Security Center SaaS

Genetec Inc. has rolled out new updates to its Security Center SaaS platform, continuing its rapid development cycle with new features delivered every 12 days. The enterprise-grade solution integrates video surveillance, access control, intrusion monitoring, and analytics into a single, open-architecture platform.

The latest enhancements include expanded support for direct-to-cloud cameras, improved edge recording via SD cards, and new third-party analytics integrations, such as Bosch firearm detection. Built-in WebRTC support enables peer-to-peer video streaming for faster access and reduced bandwidth use.

It supports cloud or local video storage and simplifies multi-site operations management across industries like retail, healthcare, education, and public safety.

“This milestone empowers agencies to reduce their carbon footprint and meet climate goals more efficiently,” said Patrick Scully, CCW’s CCO.

EasyPark Group Rebrands as Arrive to Reflect Expanded Mobility Vision

EasyPark Group has rebranded as Arrive, a new corporate identity that reflects its broader vision of enhancing urban mobility and livability.

The change also consolidates EasyPark Group and Flowbird Group under one parent brand, Arrive, which will oversee a portfolio that includes EasyPark, Flowbird, ParkMobile, Parkopedia, RingGo, Yellowbrick, and YourParkingSpace.

“We need a corporate identity that reflects our entire portfolio, moving beyond just parking,” said CEO Cameron Clayton.

The rebrand follows significant growth and recent integrations, including Flowbird and Parkopedia. Company officials say that while the corporate identity has changed, consumer apps and brands will remain unchanged for now. The new visual branding emphasizes clarity, optimism, and the vibrancy of urban life.
