The American Advertising Federation Tucson awarded a Gold ADDY to Sun Tran’s television commercial promoting the use of express service for commuters, titled, “Marion and Kate,” at the 30th Annual ADDY Awards Ceremony, held Feb. 19, 2011 at the Fox Theatre in Tucson, Ariz.
Developed in collaboration with Scot Litteer of Litteer Films, the award-winning ad, “Marion & Kate” features unscripted testimonials from real Sun Tran riders promoting Sun Express service. The television spot was part of the rebranding campaign funded by the Regional Transportation Authority.
The ADDY Awards recognize creative excellence in the art of advertising, with gold being the highest level awarded. Sun Tran’s Gold ADDY qualifies the agency to compete at one of the 14 districts throughout the country, which is the next step before moving on to the national level.
Sun Tran is Tucson’s regional public transportation system is operated by Professional Transit Management Ltd. (PTM) under contract with the City of Tucson.
