Temsa/CH Bus unveil 45-ft. coach, honor first buyer

Temsa and CH Bus Sales reintroduced its new TS 45 motorcoach at the United Motorcoach Association’s Expo at Travel Exchange in Los Angeles and honored the first customer to take delivery of the new vehicle, Caseyville, Ill.-based Vandalia Bus Lines Inc.

The 45-foot coach seats 57 passengers and is constructed from stainless steel with an integral monocoque design, ensuring strength and stability.

Like Temsa’s smaller models, the TS 45 couples a Cummins engine with an Allison transmission and includes standard features including an engine fire suppression system, lane departure warning system, tire pressure monitor system, ABS brakes, brake pad wear monitoring and warning system, and three-point seat belts.

Temsa and CH Bus Sales officials celebrate the sale of their first TS 45 with officials from Vandalia Bus Lines.

Additional features include a comfortable driver’s area, ample luggage capacity and two-piece windows designed to increase safety.

The new coach was built to meet the demand of customers who had previously purchased Temsa’s smaller vehicles, utilizing a focus group that included Vandalia Bus Lines’ officials, according to Bob Foley, president/CEO CH Bus Sales.

The company is expecting to begin full production by mid-2014.
