CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority’s (CARTA) travel training program has helped more than 400 riders who are disabled, elderly or immigrants adjusting to a new city, timesfreepress.com reported. CARTA began offering the travel trainer program in 2002.
The only cost of the program is the travel trainer's salary, paid by Siskin Hospital and CARTA, and some driver training on how to help people with disabilities who travel alone. For the full story, click here.
