[IMAGE]MSNBC-Trailways-bus-2.jpg[/IMAGE]The Trailways Transportation System (Trailways) has been selected to provide cross-country motorcoach transport for the national tour of an MSNBC television show.

Trailways will provide transportation for the “The Dylan Ratigan Show” for its “Steel on Wheels” National Tour.

The tour began last December, in Seneca Falls, N.Y., using a New York Trailways motorcoach as the show’s backdrop. The tour continued with an appearance on NBC’s “The Today Show” on Wednesday, January 19, then will move across the U.S., aboard Trailways’ Flagship coach.

The “Steel on Wheels” tour is a partnership between “The Dylan Ratigan Show” and Nucor Corp., creating an innovative road show aiming to bring forth solutions to the most pressing problems facing the American people.

The “Steel on Wheels” tour will focus on four major themes, including the spirit of America; innovation; the building of our nation; and, the future of America’s new generations.  

In addition to the live shows, the “Steel on Wheels” will conduct Town Hall events at several of their stops.

“When we discussed using various American icons as the backdrop for the “The Dylan Ratigan Show,” we were searching for one that was favorably representative of the country,” stated Steve Friedman, the executive producer of “The Dylan Ratigan Show.”  “Friedman added, “A Trailways bus was one of the first positive icons that came to mind.

The “Steel on Wheels” tour will make various stops traveling across the U.S. and will utilize a specially wrapped, Trailways bus, owned by Stockholder, Tom McCaughey of Flagship Trailways. The tour can be followed on the website www.steelonwheels.com

“The Dylan Ratigan Show” airs weekdays at 4PM ET on MSNBC.
