NEW YORK — On its fifth anniversary, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick outlined the growth of the company and pitched Uber as a solution to traffic congestion and its related carbon emissions; drunk driving; and as a safe and better alternative to public transportation, which he said has gaps in access, according to a MarketWatch report.
