SAN FRANCISCO — In addition to the continued protests surrounding commuter buses ferrying workers from San Francisco to Silicon Valley jobs, many operators who drive those vehicles struggle to make ends meet with their current pay, the Observer reported.

One of the nation’s largest labor organizations, The Teamsters Union, has been working to bring those drivers into the union so they can collectively bargain for a better deal, the report said.

Drivers represented by the union now serve companies like Yahoo, Salesforce, Apple, Amtrak, Netflix, Zynga, and PayPal, according to the Observer. For the full story, click here.
