ARLINGTON, Va. — A new website helps commuters plan their trip to areas around Northern Virginia and the D.C. area by looking at the different transit options available including Metro, buses, driving, Capital Bikeshare and personal cycling, according to ARLnow.com.
The website, CarFreeAtoZ, developed by Arlington County Commuter Services (ACCS) and D.C.-based tech firm Conveyal, plans trips in a manner similar to Google Maps or Mapquest, but it combines different transit options, such as walking, using the Metro and biking. The website is mobile friendly, so users can pull it up on their phones while on the go, the report said.
