[Photos] Transit Bus eXchange 2018

TBX is designed to connect an influential group of public transportation bus operators with a select group of product and service suppliers for an exchange of information, ideas, and solutions. Senior-level transit and paratransit employees who qualify will receive a full scholarship to attend that includes travel and education. [Photos] Artwork from New York City's Second Avenue Subway

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo unveiled on December 19, 2016, the largest permanent public art installation in New York State history in conjunction with the grand opening of Phase I of the Second Avenue Subway, which marks the city’s first major expansion project in more than 50 years. The "underground museum" features works by various artists, including large-scale portraits by Chuck Close of cultural figures such as Philip Glass, Lou Reed, Kara Walker and Cindy Sherman.

[Photos] cTrain Elevated Mass Transit Concept

The C-train concept, developed by Jacob Innovations, is an automated mass transit mode of elevated lightweight trains with seating room only. The design eliminates need for depots - via capability to travel on upper and lower wheels by switching vertically between tracks and be stored vertically above the tracks. The cTrain system can be built quickly and cheaply with exiting technologies.
