Last week, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) began previewing proposed enhancements to its Safety Measurement System (SMS) website where companies and the public can find safety information on motor carriers.

The agency undertook the proposed changes based on stakeholder feedback on the current site. The updated Webpage features a more user-friendly navigation, creates a one-stop shop for FMCSA safety information and will make important information easier to understand for motor carriers that want to improve their safety performance.

The proposed SMS redesign was announced in a Federal Register notice and provided a 60-day comment period.
