NFI Parts™ received an order from Champion Coach for UV Light Kits to be installed on their MCI motorcoaches.

UVC lights have been used to sanitize hospitals, operating rooms, doctors’ offices, medical equipment, and residential spaces for many years. The UV Lighting system from NFI Parts mounts inside the motorcoach ductwork and sanitizes air with UV light without compromising rider or passenger safety. The system works to reduce bacteria, viruses, and mold in the HVAC system; creating a safer and more comfortable experience for passengers while producing no pollution.

Champion Coach was founded in 1998 and is based in Greenville, S.C. Its fleet of distinctive motorcoaches carries professional sports franchises, elite college teams, corporate, school, church, and family groups wherever they need to go. Champion Coach frequently provides team, group, and corporate travel services to Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, Columbia, Raleigh, Jacksonville, Miami, and other popular destinations in the Southeast.

NFI Parts recently published a safety guide, which addresses four principles of safety for buses and motorcoaches: Distancing, Disinfecting, Air Quality, and PPE, with the first three principles being called out as the primary areas for operators to invest in. UV light are a relatively low-cost, chemical-free, convenient option to sanitize the air in a vehicle. While vehicles may never reach “clean room” status, they can be made safer through air sanitization and filtration. To view the full guide, click here.
