“There’s nothing better than visiting with our customers and hearing their feedback,” said Jon-Erik “AJ” Arjanen, VP, rail. “We strive to deliver a dynamic customer experience every time, and we consistently exceed our 98% on-time performance goal.”

TEXRail Post-COVID Recovery

The commuter rail line, which runs between Fort Worth and the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, started service in 2019 — a year before the COVID pandemic.

All agencies faced ridership challenges during the height of the pandemic, but TEXRail’s recovery has now surpassed a staggering 30% increase over pre-pandemic customer trips. Trinity Metro has now reached 89% ridership recovery for both buses and trains.

“Considering the ridership increases over all Trinity Metro services, as an agency, we are almost back to where we were before COVID hit,” Arjanen said. “TEXRail’s success is attributed to the entire Trinity Metro family and is only one of the many reasons that our agency as a whole is on track to reach 100% recovery by the end of the year.”
